| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Productive debate about the affects of psychotherapy on recidivism in sex and violent offenders is still hampered by the fact, that most studies are typically based on hospitalized patients or inmates of jails. Different psychotherapeutic methods have been used in different groups of delinquents, considering f. e. the broad spectrum of sexual deliquency. In this study supported by the Swiss National Department of Justice, inmates of different jails and other forensic institutions (so-called 'Arbeitserziehungsanstalten') as well as delinquents not taken into custody were examined by using standardized measures (f. e. Structured Clinical Interview for the Diagnosis of Psychic Disturbances according to DSM-IV criteria; Psychopathy Checklist, Violence Appraisal Risk Guide) and followed in their further life over years. Spezial attention is given to recidivism, but also to psychic health and social adaptation. | ||||||
