| Summary / Zusammenfassung | The primary aim of this study is to report on the short and long-term safety of psilocybin, subanesthetic doses of ketamine and MDMA in healthy humans using a large pooled dataset from a series of psychological and psychophysiological investigations between 1990 and 2008. Most of studies were conducted double-blind and placebo-controlled, a few were single-blind and placebo-controlled. In total, 506 medically healthy subjects with no personal or familial Axis I psychotic spectrum disorders were administered at least one dose of psilocybin (115-350 µg/ kg po) (n=250), ketamine (6-12 µg /kg min i.v.) (n=149) or MDMA (1.5-1.7mg/kg) (n=107). It is planned do an in depth statistical analysis of the acute, post-acute and long-term effects. An import goal of this study is to get a more rigorous inside into the benefit and risk of the use of psychedelics in humans and to lay the ground for the development of guidelines for further clinical applications of such drugs. |
